Judge Recuses Himself in Strayhorn Case

It seems independent candidate Carol Keeton Strayhorn has some friends in high places...but they can't help her here!

From KTEN News:

U-S District Judge Sam Sparks of Austin recused himself because he and his
wife both signed the petition to place her name on the November ballot. That's
according to the judge's staff.
Sparks said in a statement that he and Strayhorn have been lifelong
friends.
