A Kinky Advertisement
Either this is an advertisement, or the Tyler Morning Telegraph is making stories into advertisements:
Smith County 4 Kinky volunteers
will be at three locations this weekend to give registered voters a chance to
sign the petition to get independent candidate Kinky
Friedman on the ballot for Texas governor.
There will be a petition drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the gazebo in downtown Bullard. The event will feature live music from the Big Bar Hair band, and all musicians are invited to come out and jam, said Kristi Morgan Turner, Smith
County coordinator. Kids and dogs are welcome.
Petition circulators will set up a booth from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Gilbert's El Charro No. 2, 2623 E. Fifth St.
Registered voters can also sign the petition from 5 to 7 p.m.
Sunday at the Smith County 4 Kinky
headquarters, 3322 Fifth St. Computers will be available for circulators to look
up voter registration numbers, and a notary will be there to notarize petitions
that circulators have completed. All petitions must be notarized before they are
sent to Austin.
